20 Clive Road, Ramsgate, Kent CT12 5EG
Erection of 5 No. two-storey dwellings with associated access and parking following demolition of existing dwelling.
The Parish Council, having carefully considered the plans, have decided they are opposed to this development for the following reasons:
The access road to the properties at the rear will be very narrow, leading to access issues for emergency service vehicles such as fire engines or larger water supply vehicles. In addition, we note that Environmental Services indicate their refuse vehicles will be unable to access the road, thus leading to rubbish bins being left on the access road. Also the size of the roads will cause access issues for deliveries and also the average moving company vans. The demolition will be needed for No. 20 to create the access, but what consideration has been given to the severe impact of the occupant of No. 18? Will there be provision of alternative accommodation during the demolition and rebuilding? Also what compensation will there be for the disruption? Are the builders warranting that No. 18 will not be affected by the demolition and rebuild? Are they offering the owner of No. 18 a warranty of 10 years once the rebuild work is complete?
Still awaiting decision – 11 Feb 19.
