The Foads Hill Level crossing will be closed for all road traffic between 8 am and 4 pm on Sunday 9th Sept 2018.
However, pedestrians will be able to use the crossing while it is closed to vehicles.
Network Rail will be replacing power cables.
Temporary Closure – Cliffsend Level Crossing, Cliffsend, Ramsgate – Sun 9th Sept 2018
It will be necessary to close Cliffsend Level Crossing, Foads Hill, Cliffsend, near Ramsgate, between 8 am and approximately 4 pm on Sun 9th Sept 2018.
Foads Hill will be closed from the level crossing side of Greystones Road to just North of the actual crossing.
The alternative route is via Cliffs End Road, Sandwich Road, Lord of the Manor Interchange, Canterbury Road West and Foads Hill.
Pedestrian use will not be affected.
Access to the remainder of Foads Lane / Foads Hill continues from either direction up to where the road is actually closed, but there will be no through access during these works.
The closure is to enable Network Rail to carry out replacement of power cables.
The closure has been timed to minimise disruption of rail services.
There is a possibility that the works may over-run for such reasons as adverse weather conditions or unforeseen engineering difficulties.
