Annual Open meeting of the Parish Council

24th May at 7.30 pm in the Village Hall. An extra meeting where the Parish Council chairman gives an overview of the council work in the past year, followed by an informal questions session. Come along & find out what your council has been doing to improve the village for you. And ask questions.

Sandwich Road re-surfacing

The Sandwich Road was Micro-surfaced between the Ebbsfleet Lane traffic lights and the traffic calming section in early April. The road surface still looks “rough & unfinished”, but it is the final surface. This is explained clearly in the Details of the micro-surfacing work.  (pdf – 128Kb).

Driveways – cold callers. Warning message from Community Warden

The Community Warden has issued a warning notice about three companies that are going around the area cold calling regarding Driveways. The Companies are Monarch, Trademark and Coastline paving ltd All the vans are professionally marked up. They cold call and try a hard sell. Trading Standards are aware.

NEMO cable work now completed in Cliffsend

The NEMO cable work has now been completed in Pegwell Bay, and the road disruptions & construction traffic have gone, along with the contractor’s vehicles from the Sandwich Road car-park. The missing bollard in the car-park has also been replaced.
